After announcing the Galaxy Tab S3 and stylishly confirming the Galaxy S8 at its MWC 2017 press conference in Barcelona, Samsung has announced the addition of AKG audio tech to all its future Galaxy tablets and smartphones for better audio experience and greater sound quality.
The AKG brand is owned by Harman International Industries. Late last year, Samsung struck a deal with the American incorporated company, for the integration AKG audio tech to enhance the audio experiences on its mobile devices and even make it better.
The first galaxy device to come with this feature – the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 debuted with the quad stereo-sound speakers tuned by AKG. The tablet’s speakers produce pure sounds, free from distortion and distraction, and also automatically adjust to produce better sound in landscape or portrait mode.
The AKG by HARMAN collaboration will also extend to select Galaxy Smartphones, presumably starting with the Galaxy S8. Users of these devices will be able enjoy pure, natural sound with earphones tuned by AKG.
Commenting on the collaboration, Michael Mauser, president of Harman Lifestyle Audio said; “
“AKG has been delivering Grammy Award-winning reference sound for professional musicians for more than 70 years. Integrating AKG technology will greatly enhance Samsung’s mobile products by delivering a fully differentiated and superior audio experience to customers.
“We are very excited to be a part of Samsung’s prestigious Galaxy portfolio and look forward to bringing our premium audio capabilities to Samsung Galaxy users worldwide.”
