Few weeks after showing up on Chinese certification agency, TENAA, HMD Global has launched the 4G LTE version of Nokia 3310 in partnership with China Mobile. The low-end device, which is the follow-up to the 3310 and 3310 3G, now runs YunOS a forked version of Android developed by China’s Alibaba Group.
Sporting the same familiar body design as its predecessors, the Nokia 3310 4G sports a 2.4-inch colour display with QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) resolution, 256MB of RAM, 512MB built-in storage space (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), 2MP rear camera with LED flash, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, single SIM slot and micro-USB port.
The phone also comes with a MP3 player, support for 4G VoLTE HD calls and the option to use the device as a Wi-Fi hotspot. It is backed by a 1,200mAh battery, which delivers up to 5 hours of talk time on LTE, 8 hours of talk time on 3G calls or 15 hours of talk time on 2G calls.
The Nokia 3310 4G will arrive in two colour options – Fresh Blue and Deep Black – and will go on sale this month (February) in China. There is still no word on pricing nor availability details for the rest of the global markets. More details about this device is expected at the MWC 2018.
