Acer LTE-R1S Wi-Fi Mobile Router with 2000mAh Battery
About two weeks ago, Taiwanese device maker – Acer, debuted the Acer LTE-R1S in its home country. The new mobile Wi-Fi LAN router will be handled by the country’s largest mobile telecommunications company – Chunghwa Telecom for a one-off price tag of TWD 3690 (USD 119) and White is the only available colour option.
Carrying a simplistic stylish design, the Acer LTE-R1S is tipped to be used at home or when on the move. It supports Taiwan’s 4G LTE Cat.4 networks (FDD & TD) – B1/ B3/ B7/ B8/ B38/ B41 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, and allows up to 10 wireless devices connect simultaneously.
The router has a single SIM slot, measures 93 x 59 x 13.9 mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2000mAh battery, which expected to last several hours of usage.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) is around the corner and many tech companies have been keeping the public informed of their press conference dates, which is normally few days before the event itself. At the moment, there is nothing from Acer’s end as regards attending the MWC but we should have more news on that before the exhibition commences on February 27th.
