Alcatel SHINE LITE Release Date, Price and Specs
At the ongoing IFA 2016, Alcatel (TCL) has announced its new mid-range smartphone. The Alcatel SHINE LITE is heralded for its good looks and affordable price tag (premium design at a competitive price).
Sporting a metal frame and 2.5D glass coats on both the front and rear; the Alcatel SHINE LITE sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and is available in varying colour options – Pure White, Prime Black, Satin Gold, Gold Duo and Silver Duo. The fingerprint sensor on the rear, offers users enhanced biometric security.
The choice of processor is not stated but we are guessing it either a Mediatek or Qualcomm mid to entry-level processor. For photography, the main 13Mp Rear placed camera features Dual-Tone LED flash while the front 5MP camera also has its own LED flash.
Although the company didn’t disclose the full specs, the Alcatel SHINE LITE comes with a pocket-friendly price. It is expected to cost EUR 199 (~ $225) and will be available in Europe, Asia and North America, later this month (September).
“Our aim was to develop a high-end product without a high-end price, and we’ve done just that,” said Nicolas Zibell, general manager of International Business and president of TCL, Alcatel’s parent company. “Shine Lite has flagship product design and relevant features, tailored to meet the needs of our Gen Z consumers who look for a combination of style and substance, without a hefty price tag.”
