Meet Arbo, Panasonic India’s AI Assistant for Smartphones
Weeks ago, Panasonic India announced ARBO – a software that combines both Artificial intelligence (AI) and a new user interface, to bring a simple smartphone operations to life. This in-house developed innovation made its debut with the Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X smartphones, and will be available on the Eluga Pulse X at a later date.
According to Panasonic India, ARBO is easily accessible on the smartphone via the dedicated button on smartphone app tray and features a user interface that displays icons in a circular, radial fashion, enabling single-handed, intuitive operation (patent pending design).
While it doesn’t have listening capabilites like most virtual assistant out there, learns user’s behaviour, grows and improves every time the smartphone is used. It also has a set of fixed prompts and promises to get better over time. The AI-powered virtual buddy recommends activities such as to-do, calls to make, routine to follow, changing phone settings and more, based on location and timing.
It even read app habits and gets the best out of installed apps by learning through usage patterns.
PS: Users can turn ARBO on or off through the setting page. It needs the user to create an account using Gmail and doesn’t collect personal information such as passwords, emails, contacts, and the others.
