ASUS ZenFone 4 Series Smartphones In The Works
ASUS started off 2017 with the launch of the Zenfone AR and Zenfone 3 Zoom at the CES 2017, before following up with the Zenfone Live (or ZenFone 3 Go) at the MWC 2017. New reports suggests the Taiwanese company is gearing up for the release of its next gen Zenfone smartphones – the ZenFone 4 Series.
At the moment, three variants of the ASUS ZenFone 4 – the main ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4s and ZenFone 4 Max; have surfaced thanks to an internal company presentation. According to the rumour mill, these devices could go official at the upcoming Computex 2017 (May 30th – June 3rd) in Taipei, Taiwan.
The trio are tipped to boot Android Nougat OS with the ASUS’ ZenUI ontop but asides this, there isn’t much information about the specs not the pricing. The ASUS ZenFone 4 will slot in under the ‘Premier luxury’ category, behind the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Zoom.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max comes in behind the ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone Live in the ‘Empowering Luxury For Everyone Category’ while the high-end of the trio, the ZenFone 4s comes in behind the ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone AR in the ‘Ultimate Luxury’ category.
In similar news, a new smartphone with the model number – ZC554KL was briefly spotted on ASUS’ website. It is expected to be launch as the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max, a cheaper and inferior version of the ZenFone 4. It will likely sport a 5.5-inch display, rear camera setup and powered by a Qualcomm processor (either the Snadragon 626 or Snapdragon 660).
