China Telecom announce Gionee F5 with 4000mAh Battery
Chinese state-owned telecommunication company, China Telecom has commenced sales of the Gionee F5. Spotted alongside the Gionee GN5005 on TENNA back in December, the mid-range device joins other F series devices and is backed by a large capacity battery.
Housed in an all metal body build, the Gionee F5 sports a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with 720p HD screen resolution and relies on an octa-core Mediatek MT6750 (4 x Cortex-A53 @ 1.0GHz + 4 x Cortex-A53 @ 1.5GHz) processor with ARM Mali-T860 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
The F5 packs a 32GB built-in storage space (expandable via microSD card slot), Dual Nano SIM slots and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the company’s Amigo UI. In the camera aspect, there is a rear facing 13MP AF camera with LED flash alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The Gionee F5 supports both 4G LTE (UE Cat. 6) and LTE-A networks and also compatible with China Telecom’s Tenpa 4G+. The whole shebang is backed by a 4000mAh battery (non-removable), which is expected to last up to two days of normal usage. Pricing is set at CNY 1799 (US$ 262
