Glo Wi-Fi Roaming promises mobile internet access in 42 countries
Globacom has officially launched Glo Wi-Fi Roaming, a service that would provide their numerous subscribers with continuous mobile internet access over 300,000 hotspots in 42 countries of the world.
Glo subscribers travelling outside the country will be able to access mobile internet access on their mobile phones and tablets in public places such as stadiums, hotels, airports, coffee shops and restaurants in the countries listed below.
To enjoy the service, there is the Weekly and Daily Wi-Fi plans which serves as passes; the Weekly Pack costs N9,200 with 5 hours access and 14 days of validity while the Daily Pack costs N2,100 with an hour access and 2 days validity. Prepaid and PostPaid subscribers are entitled to use the service.
The initiate the service, users have to download the Glo Wi-Fi Roaming app which is available for Android (Play Store) and iOS (App Store) devices; and registering the app to activate customer profile. Subscription can be done within the app and also via SMS locally (in Nigeria).
Glo is offering 24-hrs customer service, Zero cancellation fees, zero roaming charges, nil contract charges and LTE standard internet service. Proposed users are advised to subscribe and register the app before travelling out of the country, as subscribing outside the country attracts additional charges.
At the moment, the Glo Wi-Fi Roaming service only available in the following countries – Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Guadeloupe and Greece.
Others includes – Grenada, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Reunion Island, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
