Hisense E9 with 8-inch display, SD430 SoC, 5050mAh Battery
China Telecom has commenced sales of the Hisense E9, a 8-inch voice calling 4G LTE tablet. It is currently selling in China via the carrier starting at CNY 1,999 (USD 291).
Pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the Hisense E9 sports a 7.8mm thick CNC-processed aluminium alloy body with micro-arc back design and 8-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) screen resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).
The slate has a single SIM slot, weighs less than 350g and backed by a sizeable 5050mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging and Hisense Smart Power Saving technology. It is expected to last up to 60 hours of music playback time, up to 10 hours of video playback time and 25 hours of continous voice calls.
For photography, the slate has a rear facing 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) – 0.1s focus time and 1080P FHD @ 30FPS video recording alongside a front facing 5MP snapper with 10 beauty modes for selfies and video chats.
The Hisense E9 supports 4G LTE (Cat. 4) full-Netcom as well as GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Also tipped as an extertainment-focused tablet, it also has dual front stereo AAC speakers with Dolby Atmos surround.
