Honor Watch S1 Debuts with Heart Rate Monitor and 6 Days Battery Life
At the launch event of the Honor 6X and Honor Pad 2 in China, Huawei announced a new wearable to complete the satandalone ‘Honor Series’ line-up. The Honor Watch S1 smartwatch will be available in China in Blue, Black and Orange strap colours for a price tag of CNY 699 (~US$ 104).
Packed with an inbuilt Heart Rate Monitor and Pedometer, the Honor Watch S1 is basically a fitness focused watch with a circular dial and waterproof design up to 50m. The 80mAh battery on-board takes less than two hours to charge fully via the magnetic charging cradle (4 pin charging port) and promises up to 6 days of usage on a single charge.
Sporting a metal premium look, the watch weighs 35 grams, supports interchangeable straps (18mm) and also offers notifications for calls, messages, and sedantary reminders when paired with a compatible smartphone (Android 4.4 and up or iOS 8.0 and up) via Bluetooth.
Huawei also says the Honor Watch S1 supports secured payment through Alipay. It will be available for order from October 19th and go on sale starting October 25th.
