Infinix Note 3 Debuts in Kenya; Goes On Presale in Nigeria
Few weeks after the Infinix Hot S and Hot 4 X557 showed up in Nigeria, Infinix Mobility has officially announced the Infinix Note 3. The phablet device is launched in partnership with online shopping platform, Jumia and is priced at KES 14,499 (~ US$ 143; N47, 000) in Kenya.
The Infinix Note 3 X601 is the direct successor to the Infinix Note 2 X600 and is expected to launch in Nigeria tomorrow (August 24th). One of the highlight is the large capacity battery (4500mAh) with safe and fast charging aided by XCharge 3.0 (duo 4.5A charging engines with Mediatek PE+2.0 Technology).
The phablet is projected to go from 0 – 100% in about 99 minutes and provide up to 200 minutes of talk time on just five minutes of charge. It sports a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage space.
For photography there is a rear facing 13MP PDAF camera with 0.25s AutoFocus and front facing 5MP camera with soft Flash. Both cameras have built-in Blue Glass to avoid flare and to capture the pefect crystal-clear moments even in harsh lighting conditions.
Just below the main camera sits the fingerprint Sensor; it unlocks the device in 0.25s and also serves as camera shutter for the cameras. The Note 3 packs Dual Micro SIM slots, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB and high-quality speaker from AAC Technologies for quality audio output.
The Infinix Note 3 has a premium looking metal body with built-in Aerospace Cooling Tech to prevent overheating. It runs XOS Chameleon (based on Android Marshmallow) and promises decreased power consumption as well as providing features such as Custom themes, smart cleanup, XPower and Freezer.
Only the 3G version of the device is available yet, however, a Pro version (Infinix Note 3 Pro/Note 3 LTE) with 4G and 3GB RAM is expected to launch soon.
