JDTab J01 Tablet with Flyme OS, 4GB RAM, Harman Kardon Audio
Recently, a new tablet surfaced in China with Meizu’s Android based Flyme OS onboard. Although the tablet was tipped to debut as the Chinese company’s first tablet, as it would turn out, it is now official as the JDTab, a product of popular Beijing-based e-commerce platform – Jingdong (JD.com).
Manufactured by Foxconn, the aluminium metal-clad JDTab J01 adopts a unibody design and is available in either Gold or Silver colour option. It sports a 7.85-inch retina display with 2048 x 1536 pixels screen resolution, measures 204.8 x 135.9 x 6.95 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 370 grams.
On the inside, the slate is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT8173 (2x Cortex-A72 + 2x Cortex-A53) 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired along with IMG PowerVR GX6250 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It packs 64GB built-in storage space, USB Type-C port and is equipped with Harman Kardon audio.
Lacking cellular connectivity support (3G or 4G LTE), the JDTab has the standard options – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, and relies on a 6000mAh battery which promises up to 10 hours of video playback time. The tablet is expected to go on sale starting January 10 for a price tag of CNY 1499 (USD 216).
