Last week, ASUS sent out out press invites for its Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 launch event scheduled for February 27 in Barcelona. With the invite carrying the Qualcomm branding and inscribed with captions such as #BackTo5 and ‘We Love Photo’, the Taiwanese brand is expected to launch the Zenfone 5 series smartphones with Qualcomm processors and dual rear cameras.
The ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite, one of the smartphones expected from the line, has surfaced online thanks to popular leakster – Evan Blass (@evleaks). The device has a screen size between 5.7 – 6 inches, 2160 x 1440 pixels Full HD+ resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, curved edges and the antenna lines are exposed.
The ZenFone 5 Lite has a total of four cameras – two rear cameras (2x 16MP) and two front cameras (2x 20MP). The arrangement of the rear camera and fingerprint sensor is similar to that of Huawei’s Honor 6X.

Previous info from GeekBench benchmark suggests the mid-ranger will come pre-loaded with Andrid 8.0 Oreo OS and rely on a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. We expect more information about the new Zenfone 5 Series smartphones in days leading up to the launch event.
