Lenovo Phab Plus announced with 6.8″ FHD display, 4G LTE and 3500mAh battery

Lenovo has launched a tablet phablet sized midrange phone in China; the Lenovo Phab Plus as the device is known has a 6.8-inch screen, Dual SIM slots and supports LTE connectivity. The device which is a exclusive to China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile sells for CNY 2599 (~$407).

The Lenovo Phab Plus features a 6.8-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Touch-on-display (TOD) with Oleophobic coating to prevent stains and prints. The device is housed in a full metal casing which is said to have undergone CNC cutting process and from the look of things, Lenovo is pitching the device against the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor which is paired with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion, has Dual SIM (Micro + Nano) slots and supports FDD-LTE,  WCDMA, CDMA2000 and GSM network bands in China. 

On the rear, there is a 13MP CMOS camera with OmniVision Sensor and Dual LED flash; the front camera is a 5MP front camera for selfies. For the audiophiles there is support for Dolby Atmos surround. Connectivity options on the Lenovo Phab Plus includes – 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4), GPS, Bluetooth, Dual-band Wi-Fi and microUSB v2.0.

The Lenovo Phab Plus measures 186.6 x 96.6 x 7.6mm in dimensions, weighs 220 grams, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3500mAh battery.
