Meizu M5 Note with Full HD display, 4GB RAM, 4000mAh Battery
Following the recent launch of the Meizu Pro 6 Plus and Flyme OS 6, Meizu has announced a new smartphone – the Meizu M5 Note. The phablet device has a premium looking all metal body build, CNC crafting and availability in Champagne Gold, Glacier Blue, Moonlight Silver and Star Gray colours.
Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved Glass layer on top, the Meizu M5 Note has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into the home button, has 360-degree recognition, 0.2s unlock time and stores up to 5 fingerprints.
On the inside, the smartphone relies on an octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and the option of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB built-in storage spaces. It has a Hybrid Dual SIM slot (nano + nano/microSD) and the other SIM slot also accept microSD cards up to 128GB.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with dual tone flash, f/2.2 aperture & Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) alongside a front 5MP camera with 4P lens and f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options available includes – 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
Measuring 153.6 x 75.8 x 8.15 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 175 grams, the Meizu M5 Note boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Flyme OS 6.0 and backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W mCharge fast charging – that fully charges up the device in less than two hours (90 mins).
The 3GB RAM model of the Meizu M5 Note with 16GB and 32GB storage costs CNY 899 (US$ 130) and CNY 999 (US$ 145) respectively while the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage costs CNY 1499 (US$ 218). Sales commences December 8th.
