Micromax Canvas Unite 4 and Canvas Unite 4 Pro with Indus OS 2.0
Micromax has launched two new smartphones in the Canvas Unite series – the Micromax Canvas Unite 4 and Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro. Both devices share similar specs but the pro version has a bigger battery, bigger memory and storage, but runs Android Lollipop instead of Marshmallow.
Both devices sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, pack a rear 8MP AF camera with LED flash, front 5MP FF camera with Flash, Dual SIM slots, 4G LTE and fingerprint scanner. They also comes with the Indus OS 2.0 which brings support for 12 regional languages and text-to-speech in 6 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Telugu.
The Indus Keyboard is a hybrid keyboard feature which allows users type in a mix of English and regional Indian language, using the English keyboard. The OS has inbuilt runtime transliteration engine, matra predictions, patented word correction and autocorrection feature.
The Micromax Canvas Unite 4 is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD). It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Indus OS 2.0 and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro packs a Quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage (up to 32GB via microSD). It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based on Indus OS 2.0 (upgradable to Android Marshmallow) and backed by a 3900mAh battery.
The Canvas Unite 4 is available for for Rs. 6999 and will be sold by offline retail stores in Champagne Gold, Grey and Silver colours while the Canvas Unite 4 Pro is available exclusively from Snapdeal starting June 30th, for Rs. 7499, in Champagne Gold Colour option.
