Samsung’s Baseball-Themed Galaxy S8 Lions Edition
Samsung Electronics has teamed up with fellow South Korean professional baseball team – Samsung Lions to launch a special edition of the Galaxy S8 flagship. Only 1000 units of the branded device Samsung Galaxy S8 Lions Edition will be available for sale to season ticket holders of the Samsung Lions.
Eligible customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lions Edition at the Daegu Samsung Lions Park – home of Samsung Lions or Samsung Lions’ official website. They will also get two VIP tickets for a Lions’ game, a smartphone case and cheering umbrella with the Lions logo as well as other benefits.
The device retains its specs and also comes pre-loaded with a unique launcher. This limited edition is applies to both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. In addition, Samsung Lions will donate part of the sales of the Galaxy S8 Lions Edition to a youth baseball team in Daegu.
Shortly after the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung Electronics and Asiana Airlines launched a special edition of the flagships, which airline members can buy with mileage points. About 2000 units of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ Asiana Airlines Edition are available for pre-order until April 17.
As expected, the Asiana edition features a customised theme and the home screen displays the airline’s logo when turned on. Members with 30,000 mileage points can buy the phones at a reduced price.
