After the recent release of the Redmi Note 4X and its special Hatsune Miku edition in China, Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up for the release of another smartphone. This time the company is expected to announce the Xiaomi Redmi 4X (or Redmi 5), which recently popped up on Chinese certification agency’s website – TENAA, for the home market.
The device surfaced in two models: MAE136 and MBE6A5; and as expected, the listing has the key specifications and images. The first model – the MAE136 has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, Hybrid Dual SIM slots, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE network support and a 4000mAh battery.
The other model – MBE6A5 has a 5.5-inch FHD display, deca-core Mediatek Helio X20/X25 processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 3GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. It has a rear-placed fingerprint sensor, 13MP camera with Dual Tone LED flash and a front 5MP selfie camera. The battery capacity stays the same.
Sporting a full metal unibody design with plastic bands around the top and bottom; the Redmi 4X/Redmi 5 boots MIUI 8.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and will arrive in Dark Gray, Gold, Matte Black and Rose Gold colours. We will bring more info concerning these devices when we have them.
