ZTE Blade V8 Pro With Dual-camera, SD652 SoC; Makes US Debut
Chinese device maker, ZTE has announced its first smartphone with Dual-Camera lens to the US. The ZTE Blade V8 Pro looks set to be the first Blade series device to go on sale in the US and has a hybrid Dual SIM slot, which means the device either use two SIMs or use a SIM and microSD card slot.
Sporting a metallic body build, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro could be the Pro model of the previously leaked Blade V8, as the camera resolution here is higher. The device has two rear facing 13MP cameras, with Dual LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies and video chats.
The smartphone relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage (up to 128GB via microSD). The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the front home button and the 3140mAh battery onboard, also has Quick Charge 2.0 support.
The ZTE Blade V8 Pro sports a 5.5″ FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, boots Android Marshmallow OS (no word on upgrade to Nougat) and equipped with the USB Type-C port. It measures 156 x 77 x 9.1 mm, weighs in at 185 grams and supports LTE Cat 4 bands: B2, B4, B5, B7, and B12.
In the US, the Blade V8 Pro is on pre-order for $229.98 (sold unlocked) from ZTE USA’s webstore (zteusa.com) as well as online retailers such as Amazon, B&H and Newegg.
