ZTE ZMax Pro with Fingerprint Scanner and USB Type-C Costs $99 via MetroPCS
At an event in New York yesterday, ZTE announced the follow up to the ZMax and ZTE ZMax 2 phablets. The ZTE ZMax Pro, is a sizeable phablet sized device for prepaid carrier – MetroPCS and preorders are underway . It will arrive on August 1 for a price tag of $99 after an instant rebate of $100.
The ZTE ZMax Pro sports a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and is backed by a 3400mAh battery which promises more than a day of solid talk time. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and a front facing 5MP camera for video calling and selfies. The device is powered via the USB Type-C port (the older USB 2.0 type) and supports quick charging capabilities.
The ZTE ZMax Pro also sports a rear placed fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB) and the device will remain $99 at the prepaid carrier. It supports Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
