iBall has announced what it calls the ‘first 10.1-inch 2-in-1 tablet with Hard Disk Drive Option’ – the iBall Slide WQ149R. The latest tablet in the Slide series runs Windows 10 and has a Detachable Keyboard with Touch Pad which makes it usable in two modes (notebook and tablet).
Moving to the specifications, the iBall Slide WQ149R sports a 10.1-inch (800 x 1280 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with Zero Air Gap touch and 178-degree viewing angle. Processing power is dished out by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.33GHz (burst speed up to 1.86GHz) paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space.
For photography, the Slide WQ149R uses a 5MP AutoFocus + 2MP camera combination on the rear and front respectively; For additional external storage support, there is a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) slot which supports up to 1TB internal 2.5 inch Slim SATA hard drive and a microSD card slot which supports up to 64GB more storage.
Connectivity options onboard includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI, micro USB 2.0 port and USB OTG. Cellular connectivity via 3G can also be attained via built-in ultra stick. The iBall Slide WQ149R is backed by a 7800mAh battery and sells for a price tag of Rs. 16,499 (US$ 249) for the tablet only.
