Vivo Unveils 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia V9 Blue Limited Edition Smartphone

Vivo, the official smartphone sponsor of the next two FIFA World Cups (Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022), has unveiled the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia V9 Blue Limited Edition smartphone as part of its “My Time, My FIFA World Cup” campaign at an event at the Olympic Forest Park in Beijing, China.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia V9 Blue Limited Edition has the same specs as the original V9 and will be immortalised at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland. It has a FullView display with 90-percent screen-to-body ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, front 24MP camera for selfies and runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

The smartphone will include a customised UI along with various themes and the right apps for users to follow their favourite team as well as interact with other users at the footballing spectacle.

As part of the campaign, Vivo announced the Vivo Super Fan Photographers’ programme, which will see the company not only recruit celebrities, guests, social media influencers, media partners and more but also grant them special pitch-side and stadium access to capture and document exclusive content such as pre match warm ups with the Vivo Smartphone provided to them.

Also, the Vivo Super Time project will involve a series of unique music-themed activities throughout the 2018 FIFA World Cup in RUssia. This also includes the Vivo Super DJ show at all 64 matches, to unite football fans and music lovers around the world.
