Indian Based smartphone maker Celkon has launched a budget smartphone running on the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, the Celkon Campus A35K which is slated for a June 16th launch date.
Motorola kicked off the trend by releasing budget smartphone ‘Motorola Moto E‘ powered by Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS. And other companies are following suit, MicroMax with the MicroMax Unite 2, Canvas Entice & Canvas Engage, Lava on the Iris X1 smarphone.
The Celkon Campus A35K features a a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) resolution display, powered by a 1GHz unnamed chipset processor, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card.
The handset sports a 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash while there is also a 0.3MP front facing camera. Connectivity options on the Campus A35K includes – Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Micro USB, and also 3G connectivity. It measures 119 x 63 x 10.7mm, weighs 102 grams, runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS and powered by a 1400mAh battery.
