How well can a proper mobile device – smartphone or tablet, function or be enjoyed without a reasonable battery life? Anyhow you think of it, the answer is simply, not well enough. There are various factors playing mixed roles in how quick or slow batteries deplete in devices, regardless of the capacity.
What some users are ignorant of, is the ability to curtail some of these effects with some simple tips; giving more freedom to use these devices effectively and efficiently. Here are some of the basic tips needed to prevent battery issues on mobile devices and sometimes they could also be employed for use in the laptop and hybrid (2-in-1) devices.
4 Basic Tips To Prevent Battery Issues on Mobile Devices
1. Cool off your mobile device when overheated
Don’t let your device get too hot while in use or being charged. Remove the case when such events occurs for a longer battery life, always try and keep them at a reasonable room or cool temperature.
2. Make use of original chargers, cable or appropriate alternatives
Make use of authentic chargers, cables, peripherals, or certified alternatives from reputable platforms and this should never be underestimated. While you can use almost any charger for various devices, especially Android, it’s best to use the original ones to avoid incesssant issues.
Habitual use of non-certified or approved third-party charging tools could result in the device’s battery shelf life gradually eroding without giving away any sign.
3. Reduce 0 -100% charging
When you ask anybody, most people know or believe they seem to know the ideal method of charging as the 0 – 100% charging, however, this is not entirely true. The lithium-ion battery we use, has a limited number of charge cycles so it’s best not to use them up.
Rather than letting your mobile devices or laptop completely drain and then charge it from 0% you’re better off to keep the battery topped up with lots of small charges, rather than a full cycle. If you do use the full charge cycle you’ll find out that the battery suddenly stops taking as much charge and loses it fasrer as it breaks down.
4. It is best to stay charged at 50-80% charge
The battery is best kept between 50 and 80 % charged so as to use the charged ions and keep battery life prolonged. Hence, charging in short bursts throughout the day is probably the best way to keep your phone going in both the short and long term.
NB: These tips won’t work once the battery is spoilt, totally weak or beyond its shelf life.
