French based company, Archos is a very popular brand in Europe and also popular for making budget devices with solid specs and is okay in its own right. The company just announced a trio of midrange tablets – a 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch display sized tablets all with 4G LTE connectivity.
The announced tablets are the part of the company’s Helium series devices – the Archos 70 Helium 4G, 80b Helium 4G and 101 Helium 4G.
Archos Helium 70 4G
The Archos 70 Helium 4G is the first of the trio with 7-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8732 chipset which clocks at 1.5GHz with Mali 760 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal expandable storage.
Other features includes – a microSD card slot, Dual SIM slot, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, 2MP rear camera with LED flash, front VGA camera, LTE Cat. 4 and 2400mAh battery.
Archos Helium 80b 4G
The Archos 80b Helium 4G is the second of the trio with a 8-inch sized IPS display and a 3600mAh battery. Asides that it has same features as the Archos Helium 70 4G.
Archos Helium 101 4G
The Archos 101 Helium 4G is the biggest of the trio with a 10.1-inch display size even though it has the same screen resolution as the Helium 70 4G and the Helium 80b 4G. The device has the same memory and chipset but it come with a better 5MP rear camera and a front facing 2MP camera. It also pack a larger battery capacity – 6500mAh.
All three tablets are expected to be displayed at the CES 2015 which commences in some few days. No word on pricing yet and where the device would go on sale.
