HTC launched its ‘hero phone’ the HTC One A9 in October, the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version is available in the US while the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM version is for the rest of the world. A variant of the One A9 – HTC A9w has been spotted on Chinese Agency – TENAA.
The HTC A9w could certainly be the version for China and possibly Asia. The device sports a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and is powered by a octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz (possibly the Snapdragon 617) paired with Adreno 42GB of RAM and 16GB space of expandable internal storage.
For photography, there is a 13-Megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 4MP Ultrapixels camera for selfies. It measures 145.75 × 70.8 x 7.26mm in dimensions, weighs 143 grams in size and connectivity options onboard includes – Bluetooth, USB, GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD, WCDMA, GPS & WLAN.
Just like the One A9, the HTC A9w is the first set of devices asides the new nexus phones (Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P) to run Android 6.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. Available colour options includes – Charcoal Gray, Etching Gold, Garnet, Gold, Iron Black and Silver.
