Wickedleak has announced what it calls the most affordable octa-core smartphone in the indian market dubbed the Wickedleak Wammy Neo. The Indian local smartphone maker has announced sales of the Wammy Neo would commence as from June 13 on the official Wickedleak website (http://wickedleak.org) in Black and White colour variants.
The Dual-SIM (GSM + WCDMA) Wickedleak Wammy Neo features a 5-inch (1,280 x 720 pixels) resolution Full HD IPS display with Dragon Tail screen. The device is powered by 1.7GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MTK6592 Soc processor, Mali 450GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB with micro SD card slot.
It sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 5MP frontfacing camera for video calling. Connectivity options includes: 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE/GPRS, GPS/A-GPS with EPO, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio Jack.
The Wickedleak Wammy Neo measures 114.5 x 71 x 7.7mm, powered by a 2200mAh battery which provides a standby time of 5-6 days. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, but will be upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat in the nearest future.
There is an option of purchasing the Wickedleak Aquaprotect treatment to the phone for Rs. 1500 (roughly N4200 in Naira). The Aquaprotect Technology when applied to the Wammy Neo, the device can last more than 30mins in water.
