Xolo has announced a new smartphone – the Xolo Q1001 budget smartphone. The device would slot into the Company’s QCORE series of smartphones; powered by a quad-core MediaTek sports Dual SIM slots as expected with no 4G LTE but 3G and it would sell for a price tag of INR 6199 (around $100) in India.
The Xolo Q1001 has similar specs with the Xolo A1010; it sporta a 5-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and a not so suprising pixel density of 196ppi. Under the hood, the device uses a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 512MB RAM and 4GB space of internal storage.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB/64GB) and for photography, it manages a front facing VGA (0.3-megapixels) camera as well as a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – 802.11 b/g/n Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio and 3G HSPA+.
It measures 143 x 73.2 x 9.5 mm in dimensions, the weight is however not stated; the device runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box and is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The Xolo Q1001 is expected to arrive in White and Black colour options; it is expected to go on sale in India soon.
