Chinese OEM, Coolpad has teamed up with US-based mobile carrier, T-Mobile to offer the budget- based Coolpad Rogue smartphone in the US. The device will be available exclusively from the carrier starting September 30th for $49.99 in T-Mobile’s Online and Offline stores.
Moving to the specs, the Coolpad Rogue sports a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA display and a pixel density of 223ppi. It is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.1GHz with Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. Moving to the camera aspect, there is a front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera for video chats and a main rear facing 2MP camera. Along with 4G LTE, other connectivity options includes – GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Measuring 126.5 x 64.4 x 13.2mm in dimensions, the Coolpad Rogue runs the current latest Android OS – Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a battery expected to provide up to 6 hours of talk time & 200 hours of standby time.
The Rogue is the first smartphone from Coolpad to be available officially in the US. It is a much cheaper offering but has lesser specs compared to the Asus Zenfone 2, Motorola Moto G (2015) and Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3.
