Swipe Telecom has launched a new cheap tablet range in India dubbed the Swipe Slice. The 7-inch tablet has moderately reasonable features at affordable price and is definitely targeted at users with low budget but wants a performing device to complement the price.
The Swipe Slice tablet features a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) IPS capactive touchscreen display, powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, Mali 400 GPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via micro SD), 2MP rear facing camera, 0.3MP front facing camera.
The Swipe Slice measures 189 mm x 108 mm x 10mm, weighs 522g, runs on the dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and powered by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options includes Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, 2G, dual-sim support, FM Radio and voice calling functionality.
The Swipe Slice is available in Red, Black, Yellow, Blue & White colour variants and has been set with a price tag of Rs 4990 / $83 (around N13,000 in Naira). The device is exclusively available on Amazon India.
The Last Swipe tablet we saw was the Swipe MTV Slash 4X tablet in January for Rs 9,999 (approx N27,000 in Naira). The Swipe MTV Slash 4X has similar specs to the Swipe Slice tablet but the only difference is its 1024×600 pixels resolution display.
