HP has announced a 7-inch affordable tablet at entry level users dubbed the HP 7 Plus and its available in the US for $100 (roughly N16,500 in Naira).
The HP 7 Plus features a 7-inch IPS screen with a low 1024 x 600 pixel resolution with 170ppi pixel density. The HP 7 plus is powered by a 1GHz quad-core Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex-A7 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt memory expandable up to 32GB with micro SD support, and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The tablet sports a 2.0MP fixed focus rear camera, 0.2MP front facing camera. In terms of connectivity the HP 7 Plus has no Bluetooth connectivity, options include Miracast compatible Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro- USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack.
The HP 7 Plus is powered by 2800mAh battery which offers 5hours and 30 minutes of battery life. The HP 7 Plus is similar to the HP 8 design wise and it should not be confused with the HP Slate 7 Plus 7.
The tablet measures 7.58 x 4.8 x 0.32mm, weighs roughly 300 grams and would be available in silver colour variant only. HP is also offering 25GB of free cloud storage for life, provided by cloud service provider Box for anyone who purchases the HP 7 Plus android tablet and also pre loaded apps which includes Kingsoft office software, HP eprint, HP File Manager, HP Connected Photo by Snapfish and Skype.

The availability of the HP 7 Plus worldwide is unknown as at press time but its available on HP.com online store for $100 (roughly N16,500). HP recently launched the Slate6 VoiceTab and the Slate7 VoiceTab voice calling tablets in February.
