Indian based company, Videocon has announced a new 7-inch budget tablet – Videocon VA81M which makes voice calls and connect to the Internet via 3G connectivity. The tablet is expected to sell for INR 4900 ($76).
Commenting on the launch, the CEO of Videocon Mobile Phone, Jerorld Pereira said;
“As on-the-go connectivity is driving the fast and smart interactivity, we aim to cater to the needs of hyperactive consumers with the launch of the VA81M tablet. The tablet is the new addition to our innovative portfolio of affordable and rich-featured devices. Going apt with the consumers’ demand of large screen and hot features, the Videocon VA81M tab offers a flawless gaming and multimedia experience to enable an engaging user experience.”
Moving to the specs, the slate is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor paired with 512MB of RAM, 4 GB space of internal storage which is expandable with microSD card slot available (up to 32GB). On the rear there is a 2MP camera and a front facing 0.3MP (VGA) Camera.
The Videocon VA81M is Dual SIM enabled and asides supporting 3G connectivity, it also comes with Bluetooth, aGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB OTG. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
