Chuwi has a new tablet in the market and as you would expect, an affordable Dual OS tablet – the Chuwi Hi8 Dual OS. It is a 8-inch which is powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor and the design is inspired by the Apple iPad Mini. It is currently selling for a price between $113 and $120.
The Chuwi Hi8 Dual OS features a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA IPS capacitive touch screen display with 16:10 aspect ration, a pixel density of 283ppi and 71.73% screen to body ratio. The body build is also made from polycarbonate plastic with no hint of any kind of metal around the edges.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Bay Trail Z3736F processor clocked at 2.16GHz paired with Intel Gen 7 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
On the rear there is a 2MP camera and on the front sits a 0.3MP (VGA) camera. Connectivity options on the Chuwi Hi8 Dual OS tablet includes – Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, USB 2.0, OTA Sync and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It also supports external 3G modem and the only listed sensor option is Accelerometer.
