Ahead of the IFA 2014, Lenovo has announced the Lenovo Tab S8 along with the laptop and the Erazer X315 gaming desktop. At is pre-IFA 2014 event the company launched its first Intel-powered devices running on Android OS, going for Kitkat as against its Intel-powered Windows OS tablets.
Lenovo Tab S8
The Lenovo Tab S8 features a 8-inch WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) IPS One Glass Solution (OGS) display and 10 point multi touch-panel technology. Under the hood, there is a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 processor clocked at 1.86GHz with Intel Burst Performance Technology, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of non-expandable internal storage.
On the rear is a 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and a 1.6MP secondary HD fixed focus front-facing camera. Connectivity options on the device includes 4G LTE (optional), Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Asides is Ultra-thin screen bezels, the company also says the tablet features dual front-facing speakers powered by Dolby Audio.
The Lenovo Tab S8 measures 209.8 x 123.8 x 7.9mm, weighs 299 grams and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The device is powered by a non-removable 4920mAh battery, which provides 7 hours of usage time and 400 hours of standby time.
The Lenovo Tab S8 would be available starting from $199 for the Wi-Fi only version and in Blue, Canary Yellow, Ebony and White colour options (subject to regional availability).
Lenovo Y70 Touch Gaming Laptop
Meet the first 17-inch touch device from Lenovo, dubbed the Lenovo Y70 Touch. The Y70 touch gaming laptop is available on Lenovo’s online store and available in three models – 80DU000EUS ($1399.99), 80DU000NUS ($1499.99), and 80DU000HUS ($1689.00). The laptops would also be available in major retail outlets in October.
The differences between the three models is in terms of system memory, dedicated GPUs and inbuilt storage. The Y70 touch 80DU000EUS model features 1TB of SSHD storage, 8GB of DDR3L (1600MHz) RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GDDR5 2GB GPU. The Y70 touch 80DU000NUS model features 1TB of SSHD storage, 16GB of DDR3L (1600MHz) RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GDDR5 4GB GPU. The Lenovo Y7 touch 080DU000HUS models also features 512GB SSHD storage, 16GB of DDR3L (1600MHz) RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GDDR5 4GB GPU.
Asides that, the three models have basically the same features with – a 17.3-inch full-HD LED anti-glare multi-touch display, powered by a fourth-generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ Processor (2.50GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads, 6MB cache), a HD webcam, a backlit keyboard for easy typing, stereo speakers by JBL and runs on Windows 8.1 64-bit OS.
The Lenovo Y70 Touch gaming laptop weighs 3.4kg, measures 422.9 x 290.6 x 25.9mm, is powered by a 4-cell 54-Watt Hour Li-Po battery and has Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n as connectivity options.
Lenovo Erazer X315 gaming desktop
The Lenovo Erazer X315 gaming desktop was also announced along with the Y70 touch gaming laptop and the Tab S8. The desktop would be available in two user choices and in retail stores in November for $599.
The Lenovo Erazer X315 gaming desktop for one model features a 3.1GHz quad-core AMD A8-7600 processor with 2GB AMD Radeon R9 255 GPU, 1TB+8GB SSHD inbuilt storage, and 8GB of RAM; while the 3.7GHz quad-core AMD A10-7850k processor with a 2GB AMD Radeon R9 260 GPU; 2TB+8GB SSHD inbuilt storage, and 12GB of RAM.
Asides that, The Lenovo Erazer X315 generally measures 375.9 x 360.6 x 175.2mm, weighs 7.4kgs and features Dolby Audio Advanced technology. Connectivity features of the device includes HDMI in, 7-in-1 card reader, 4x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 6x audio jack with S/PDIF.
