ZTE has launched a new 4G smartphone in India, the device in question is the ZTE Blade QLux 4G. Earlier this week, we reported about device when it went on sale in Russia where it sells at 6000 rubles ($106).
The ZTE Blade QLux 4G is the cheapest 4G smartphone released yet in India. It would be available exclusively on Amazon India starting June 16 for INR 4999 ($80 or €70). Those who buy the phone would receive double data offer from Airtel India.
Commenting on the launch, the CEO Terminal Sales South Asia, ZTE, Yuan Kang said:
“At ZTE it’s our mission to get the technology of the future in the hands of our customers today. The Indian consumer is getting ready for 4G and we want to make sure that not only compatible devices are available to the consumers, but are also available at an affordable price. We are extremely excited to introduce the ZTE Blade Qlux 4G to every Indian who wants to be tomorrow ready.”
The ZTE Blade QLux 4G supports Dual SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with promised upgrade to Android Lollipop OS. As the name suggests it supports 4G LTE which is compatible with 1800MHz (Band 3) and 2300MHz (Band 40) 4G bands in India.
It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek (MT6732M) processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB). On the rear there is a 8MP Autofocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.
Asides 4G LTE, the ZTE Blade QLux 4G also supports Bluetooth, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and 3G/EDGE. Sensor options includes – Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer and Proximity Sensor.
The smartphone measures 134.5×67.4×10.3mm in dimensions, weighs 154 grams and is backed by a 2200mAh battery. The battery is expected to provide up to 250 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time.
