Karbonn is looking to expand it series of budget entry level – A Series of smartphones by introducing a successor to the Karbonn A50, Karbonn A50s. There is no official word on its launching date and but its is available on e-commerce website, Flipkart at a price of Rs. 2790 (approx N8,000 in Naira) in White and Black colour variants; at this price making it one of the cheapest Android smartphone around.

The Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Karbonn A50s features a a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with HVGA (320×480 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot. On the rear is a 2MP camera with LED flash and an 0.3MP front facing camera.
Connectivity options on the Karbonn A50s includes its Dual SIM capability, Bluetooth, 2G, GPRS/EDGE, micro USB, A-GPS, and Wi-Fi. There is no 3G however on the Karbonn A50s smartphone.
The Karbonn A50s measures 115.7 x 61.8 x 10.5mm, runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS Out-Of-the-Box and is powered by a 1100mAh battery.
A similar cheap Android phone which will look to rival the Karbonn A50s, is the Celkon Campus A35K which would be available on online platform Snapdeal at a price range of Rs. 2999 (approx N8200 in Naira).
The Celkon Campus A35K features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480p) display, powered by 1GHz processor, 3G connectivity and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
