O2 UK is already offering the White Huawei T1 10 tablet on paying monthly £22.50 (tariff and slate payment) and £22.99 would be paid upfront. Other carriers in Europe should join the band wagon soon with their own offering of the device.

Moving to the specs, the Huawei T1 10 features a 9.6-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) WXGA IPS display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB space of internal storage out of which 14.9GB is user available and there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.

The Aluminium unibody build of the Huawei T1 10 gives it a premium look despite its simple design and it manages to measure 8.3mm in thickness (full dimensions – 248.5 x 150 x 8.3 mm) and weighs 450 grams. It is powered by a non-removable 4800mAh battery which is expected to provide around 24 days on standby, 12 hours of video playback and 6.5 hours of web browsing.

On the rear, there is a 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera. This model supports LTE connectivity as well as other standard options – Bluetooth, USB 2.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Emotion UI 3.0 which has an iOS UI like interface.

With Huawei dropping the MediaPad name from the tablet, the company has gone the same way it went when it announced the Huawei P8, P8 Max and P8 Lite without the Ascend name on their predecessors.
