Midrange LG Band Play Sound-Powered smartphone announced

LG has just announced a sound powered midrange smartphone – the LG Band Play in its home country, South Korea. It is expected to go on sale for a total of ₩ 394,800 Korean Won plus shipment which is around $398 dollars.

The LG Band Play is touted as a sound powered, comes with camera centric features – gesture shot and gesture view and also comes with some other features such as the concentration mode and focus mode. 

The focus mode lets you concentrate on important business without interference from the phone or alarm. Concentration mode goes further to cut off Wi-Fi and Data communication, calls are automatically rejected with a message. 

The Band Play comes with a 1W (1-Watt) speaker which rich and clear sound quality; the device also comes bundled with the LG QuadBeats 3 headphones which comes with the LG G4

The LG Band Play features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU. 2GB of RAM is onboard and there is 16GB space of internal storage which is expandable by a microSD card slot.

On the rear, there is a 13MP Laser Autofocus camera and a 5MP front facing wide-angle camera for selfies. Connectivity options on the LG Band Play includes – NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and LTE Broadband. 

The LG Band Play measures 139.7 x 71.9 x 8.3mm in dimensions, Weighs 126 grams and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the LG UX interface which is prominent with the G Series of devices ontop . It is backed by a removable 2300mAh battery.
