Affordable Chuwi Vi7 tablet with Intel Atom X3 and Android Lollipop launched

Chuwi has added a super affordable Android Lollipop OS running tablet – the Chuwi Vi7. The tablet is powered by Intel Atom Sofia SoC and is currently on pre-order. Pre-sales are expected to start by July 10; It costs just $79.

The Chuwi Vi7 is a smaller version of the Chuwi Vi10, but it is an Android only tablet unlike the Dual-OS on the Vi10. It features a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS TFT LCD display and a pixel density of 320 ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Intel SoFIA Atom X3 C3230 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with ARM- Mali 450 MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.

There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. On the rear, there is a 2MP camera and the front houses a 0.3MP (VGA) camera. For connectivity on the go, the Chuwi Vi7 supports 3G connectivity thanks to its Single SIM slot and also supports GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB and USB OTG options.

The Chuwi Vi7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2500mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 120 hours of standby time. It measures 189 x 108 x 10 mm in dimensions and Weighs 262 grams.
