Oppo Mirror 5s announced with diamond-pattern texture back, Android 5.1 Lollipop and 4G LTE

Oppo has finally announced Oppo Mirror 5s – a new midrange smartphone. The device comes with the normal midrange 5-inch HD display, supports 4G LTE connectivity, while there is no word on pricing yet but the device would be available in White colour option only.

Using a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a brightness of 555 lumen. One of the main attraction to the Mirror 5s – it has a diamond-pattern texture which gives its back cover a premium look and the body has a metal frame around its edges. 

The Oppo Mirror 5s is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage out of which only 10GB is user available. There is however a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB).

On the rear, there is a 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, Backside Illuminated (BSI), LED flash and shoots in either night or low light conditions. There is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies which comes with Ultimate beauty 3.0. The camera has up to 11 capture modes which includes – HDR, sound camera, GIF animation slow shutter, fast lens, panorama and extreme night mode. 

Connectivity options on the Oppo Mirror 5s includes – Bluetooth, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi b/c/n, USB OTG, GPS/aGPS, and 4G LTE. The device comes with a feature called Wisdom Remote which takes advantage of the Infrared (IR) Remote sensor to control home appliances in general.

It measures 143.4 x 71.2 x 7.65mm in dimensions, weighs 160 grams, support 4G Dual Card Dual Standby functionality (Micro SIM + Nano SIM), backed by a 2420mAh battery and runs on ColorOS 2.1. 

The Android 5.1 Lollipop OS based ColorOs 2.1 brings features such as screenshot, super screenshot, use the mini-screen to operate the device using a single hand, sleep gesture, lock screen instant notification screen, and Wisdom Cleanup.
