LG G4 Beat goes official with Snapdragon 615 SoC and LG UX 4.0

LG has officially announced the LG G4 Beat, a new variant of the flagship LG G4. The G4 Beat (or LG G4s in some Europe and CIS regions) is no other than the LG G4 S which has surfaced in the past few weeks in a series of leaks.

The LG G4 Beat is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 1.5GB of RAM, has 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and a pixel density of 423ppi.

In most regions, the G4 Beat will feature a rear facing 8MP camera with LG’s exclusive Color Spectrum Sensor and Laser Auto Focus while Latin America will get a 13MP camera with similar features. The front camera for all regions is a 5MP camera with Gesture Interval Shot that lets users take four consecutive selfies with a single hand gesture.

Measuring 142.7 x 72.6 x 9.85mm in dimensions, the LG G4 Beat weighs 139 grams, runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with LG UX 4.0 ontop and is backed by a removable 2300mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device includes 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, GLONASS and USB 2.0. 

The LG G4 Beat would arrive in Key markets in Europe and Latin America with Brazil, France and Germany specifically mentioned. Before rolling out to on a global scale to Canada, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and others. Prices would be announced locally and the colours available are – Ceramic White, Metallic Silver and Shiny Gold.
