Xiaomi Mi5 Plus Specs confirmed by TENAA

The Xiaomi Mi5 and the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus smartphones has been long rumoured to come from the company. The Mi5 Plus has passed through TENAA Certification and some of its key specs has been detailed which confirms and debunks some of the rumours we have heard before.

The Xiaomi Mi5 Plus would be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC which is yet to be fully detailed but is expected to be a powerhouse. The SoC will be paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. 

It sports a 5.7-inch display which has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD or 2K) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with Dual-Tone LED flash and a front facing 4MP snapper for selfies.

The Xiaomi Mi5 Plus measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95 mm in dimensions, weighs 160 grams and runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the company’s latest MIUI skin ontop.

The Mi5 Plus supports 4G LTE (LTE Cat.9) connectivity as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Micro USB, GPS and GLONASS.

Even though the listing doesn’t show battery capacity, the device would reportedly be backed by a 3500mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi5 Plus is expected to go official by November, while there is no word on pricing it would come in Gold and White colour options.
