IDEA is currently Indian’s third largest operator and it has sold over 7 lakh (700,000 units) for its earlier 3G smartphones released. The company is looking to upgrade users from 2G to 3G smartphones with the Idea ID 4000.

The Dual-SIM Idea ID 4000 features a 4-inch HVGA (320×480 pixel) screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable inbuilt storage, 3.2MP of rear-camera. Connectivity options on the Idea ID 4000 includes – Wi-Fi, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0.

The Idea ID 4000 is expected to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and powered by a 1500mAh battery which provides 6.8 hours of talk time and around 433 hours on standby.

The Idea ID 4000 has been price competitively with the Motorola Moto E, Micromax Unite 2, and the Lava Iris X1 which all run on Android 4.4 kitkat while the smartphone itself run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Getting the Idea ID 4000 would cost you around Rs 6980/ $116 (around N19,000) but before you start calculating in foreign exchange, its has a very high possibility this device won’t make it out of China.
