The Lava Iris X5 4G Android One smartphone features a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and five point multi-touch support. A quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz can be found under the hood with ARM Mali-T720.

The SoC is paired with 2GB of RAM to handle tasks and there is 16GB space of internal storage onboard out of which only 11GB is available to the end user. There should be a microSD card slot for storage expansion also.

Living up to its name the Lava Iris X5 4G, supports 4G LTE connectivity as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB and GPS options. Compass, Accelerometer, Light Sensor and Proximity are the listed sensor options.

On the rear there is a 13MP AutoFocus camera (listed as 12MP) with LED flash and capable of recording 4K (UHD) videos. The front camera is a 8MP snapper (listed as 7MP). Overall, the device runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

The only other Android One smartphone to support 4G was the General Mobile 4G which is the first to be launched in Europe, although it’s specs are inferior to the Lava Iris X5 4G.
