ZUK Z1 with 4000mAh+ Battery and USB Type-C 3.0 port coming on August 8

The ZUK brand is a subsidiary of Lenovo, the first smartphone expected from the brand which is expected to focus on software and UI is the ZUK Z1. The company has teased the announcement date of the device for August 8th, 2015.

The ZUK Z1 is not the first smartphone to use the USB Type-C Port, however, it is one of the first smartphones to use the more powerful USB 3.0 (USB Type-C 3.0) model which speeds up data transfer and ensures faster battery charging.

The device is expected to be have a battery capacity around 4000+mAh which would last some days of usage dependent on user. The UTouch fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button – a single swipe is needed to unlock the screen.

The ZUK Z1 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. On the rear, there would be a 13MP camera and available storage options is either 16GB or 32GB with no word on if they are expandable.

ZUK and JD.Com are said to be in partnership; thus the Z1 is expected to sell on the e-commerce website. The device could also sell across various retailers. A possible but not official price tag of $300 is placed on the ZUK Z1 but we will have to wait till August 8th to confirm these details.
