Yu Yureka Plus with Snapdragon 615 SoC, 4G LTE and Cyanogen 12 OS launched

YU Televentures, a Subsidiary of Micromax has announced the YU Yureka Plus – the successor to the highly successful YU Yureka.

The device would be available exclusively on Amazon.in for Rs 8999 starting July 24th; available colour options are MoonDust Grey with polished finish and Limited Edition Alabaster White.

Commenting on the launch, YU Founder, Rahul Sharma said;

The YU Yureka Plus features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.

There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB). On the back, there is a 13MP f/2.2 camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, 5P Largan Blue lens and a front facing 5MP camera. Connectivity options on the Yureka Plus includes – 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG.

The YU Yureka Plus runs Cyanogen 12 OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
