Doogee HomTom HT6 with 6250mAh battery announced

Ambitious Chinese device maker, Doogee has announced a sub-brand of some sort called HomTom; this brand will be dedicated to making devices with large battery capacities and the first device to expect is the Doogee HomTom HT6 which would see a September release date.

The Doogee HomTom HT6 boasts of a 6250mAh battery which is considered very huge and the device still manages to keep a 9.9mm thin body build. Smartphone batteries with huge capacities usually have very slow charging struggles but the HT6 won’t have similar issues as it uses the MediaTek fast charging technology called Pump Express/Pump Express Plus which promises to charge up to 75% in just 30 minutes.

The HomTom HT6 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and has an alloy metal body build which is said to have undergone CNC cutting. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 quad-core processor which supports World Mode 4G LTE support, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and has 16GB space of internal storage with no word on the RAM size. On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with Dual LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.

The name HomTom is said to be derived from the Chinese character ‘heng tong’ which means lasting, eternal and connection. The concept of smartphone released under the HomTom brand by Doogee is to create long-lasting smartphones to connect people and the world.
