Samsung SM-G8508S: Mystery Samsung phone scores 95,972 on AnTuTu

Samsung has a device which has shattered another record on AnTuTu Benchmark website and tops most of the devices released this year. The device in question has the model number – SM-G8058S and is tipped to be the Samsung Galaxy S7

According to AnTuTu, the Samsung SM-G8508S scored a total of 95,572; this score beats the 69,702 scored by the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with Samsung Exynos 7420 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus with the same Exynos 7420 is expected to score lesser than that. This leaves both device out of the picture, so the best bet is the Galaxy S7.

The device with the previous record was the upcoming LG-Made Nexus 5 2015 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which scored 85,530. This confirms there is every possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will launch with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which could use custom Hydra cores.

There is no official specs information of the Snapdragon 820 yet and unless the chipset makes it way to smartphones it is to early to confirm this report. However, it would be also too early for Samsung to ditch Exynos for Qualcomm after opting against using the latter on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Ultimately, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could end up gracing the market in two processor variants – the Snapdragon 820 and Exynos xxxx SoC or it could end up to be one of them.
