Leaks Phablet Phones Rumours

Samsung Galaxy Note5 Active with 4100mAh battery tipped for November release

Today marks the start of the official sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note5 in the US (and Canada); and already there are already talks of a rugged version of the phablet sized device with stylus. It is expected to launch in less than four months time, by Early November.

If such reports are true or near true, it would be the first time Samsung would announce an Active variant of the Galaxy Note series. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 Active is expected to have certifications to resist water, dust and the Military grade certification for extreme conditions.

The battery will come beefier with a 4100mAh battery capacity compared to 3000mAh on the original and the beefier gesture could be extended to the dimensions as it would become thicker and possibly heavier. The device will also have physical keys and buttons on the sides and below the screen.

At the moment, there are only three Active smartphones from Samsung sofar – the Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy S6 Active. Adding the Galaxy Note5 Active to that list would be no issues at all and a more rugged S Pen could be included for input.

If the Samsung Galaxy Note5 Active ever get to see the light, it should be available on AT&T in the US. The US wireless carrier has been the sole seller of the past Galaxy Active smartphones.
