Rumour: 12-inch Samsung Windows 10 tablet in the works

There are early rumours of a supposed 12-inch Samsung Windows 10 tablet in the works. At the moment, no manufacturer can match the number of devices released by the South Korean on a yearly basis so this rumour could actually turn out true.

You might want to ask the question: Does Samsung also make Windows tablets? Well, Sammy makes Windows tablets but the last of them came over two years ago in the Samsung Ativ series. The line wasn’t actually that successful but it seems the company is keen to resurrect the line.

The 12-inch Samsung Windows 10 tablet doesn’t have a codename or model number (at least, it is not leaked yet) but it would surely run Windows 10 OS which is said to be the last for Microsoft. The display is a Super AMOLED one and the resolution is tipped to be either 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, or a higher 3840 x 2400 resolution.

The company is not going for exynos this time, like most Windows tablets around, it is powered by an Intel Core M SoC which is made using the 14nm process. The chipset would be paired with 4GB of RAM and just like the Galaxy Note series, the tablet would have the Stylus Pen (S Pen) support.

It is expected to be lightweight and very slim at 600 grams and 6.2mm thin. We expect more information on the device to trickle out over the coming weeks.
